Students will learn:
A solid basic foundation of saxophone, flute, or clarinet technique including major and minor scales, arpeggios, intervals, and technical etudes.
Appropriate musical etudes. This includes everything from standard classical etudes to contemporary pop and traditional jazz repertoire.
Elementary to advanced music theory.
Elementary to advanced jazz improvisation techniques.
Music appreciation. This includes lessons on "active" music listening.
Insight into playing in the top school bands as well as local, statewide, and nationwide honor bands and orchestras.
Audition preparation, including All-State bands.
